Curriculum
Springboard is a Bootcamp for people who want to become software engineers. It offers an immersive environment with top-notch instructors and mentors.
Our curriculum focuses on JavaScript, Python, and other computer science fundamentals. By the end of the course, their students will have built multiple projects, including a portfolio site and a simple game.
General Assembly Bootcamp is a fast-paced, immersive experience that will challenge students to think differently. The program consists of two parts: the first is a series of workshops, and the second is a capstone project where students work in teams to build something new.
This Bootcamp is designed for people who are new to coding and want to understand fundamental programming concepts, and it’s also great for more experienced coders to brush up on their skills or learn something from scratch.
Learning Format
Springboard Bootcamp is a learning format that breaks the content into 3-4 week-long modules. Each module will cover a specific topic, and all the learning for that topic will be contained within the module.
Each module is divided into 10-15 bite-sized lessons, each with its video, written content, and other resources. You can access Springboard Bootcamp whenever you want, wherever you are.
You can go through the lessons individually at your own pace or take multiple lessons at once. General Assembly’s Bootcamp is a 3-day experience that begins with an introductory lecture and ends with a capstone project.
The introductory lecture covers the basics of web development, including HTML and CSS. You’ll be introduced to some of the most popular programming languages, like Python, JavaScript, and Ruby.
You’ll also learn how to use these languages in practice by building your website. The second day is dedicated to hands-on projects that allow you to build something practical and valuable with your newly-acquired knowledge.
Mentorship and Career Support
Mentorship and career support are offered throughout the Springboard Bootcamp program. All students have access to a dedicated coach who will guide them through the course, help them with their resumes, and provide them with industry advice.
They also have access to a community of alumni who can offer additional mentorship and advice. The General Assembly Bootcamp has a community of support for students as they learn new skills.
Their mentors are experts in their fields and have had experience working in the industry they mentor. They help their students understand what it means to succeed in their field and how to get there.
Cost
Springboard Bootcamp offers affordable prices for its courses. You can take a course for just $99 or pay $199 for a bundle of three courses.
Some courses are at a discounted rate, as well as other tools and learning resources you can use to get started. If you’re interested in taking a General Assembly course but are worried about the cost, don’t be!
General Assembly offers a wide range of courses, each with its price point. The most popular course at General Assembly is the Web Development course, a 12-week program that costs $1,500.
You can also get discounts if you buy multiple of these courses, so if you want to take two or more courses at once, it will cost less per class. Another popular course is their UX Design Immersive class—a 9-week program that costs $3,200.
Again, buying multiple classes at once will cost less per class than buying them separately.

Outcome
The success rate of the Springboard Bootcamp is pretty high. According to the company’s website, it has a 90% job placement rate within six months of completing the program, and 97% of students who have graduated from Springboard have received job offers within a week of completing their course.
This includes students who are currently working in the industry as well as those who are still looking for jobs or internships. Their success rate is consistently above 97%, which means that more than 3 out of every four students who attend one of our programs will find employment within six months of graduation.
The General Assembly Bootcamp success rate is the percentage of students who completed their program and landed jobs in their fields. Of course, this is not to be confused with the on-campus job posting rate, which is the percentage of students hired by companies that posted job openings on campus.
The school’s Bootcamp success rate only includes graduates who worked in jobs related to their program after graduation. If a graduate was hired by another company or went back to school for more training, it doesn’t count as success for General Assembly.
Final Verdict
General Assembly is best for those looking to enter the workforce with boot camps and part-time short courses. It also offers:
- An accelerated program that allows you to complete it in less time
- Meet people from all over the world interested in the same things as you.
- It’s a great way to build confidence in yourself and your abilities.
However, Springboard may be a better option if you want more:
- Flexibility and in-depth training
- Work with other students and mentors in real-world projects
- Have access to expert instructors passionate about teaching others how to code.
- Affordability
Either way, it’s not one-size-fits-all; do your homework to find the program that best fits you.
