Courses & Curriculum

Currently, there are four courses available from Coding Temple. All these courses can be completed online.

With many institutes, remote studying often equates to endless PowerPoint presentations – but not with Coding Temple. This isn’t just remote learning; it’s live online learning.

For full-time and part-time courses, you’ll attend regular classes. A typical day will include a morning whiteboard question, lectures, a code-along session, assignments, and an end-of-day walk-through.

The great thing about Coding Temple’s course structures is that it creates a true learning environment. Due to Coding Temple’s small class sizes, students are afforded individualized attention to properly hone their new skills. Alongside live classes, there’s also mentoring available to students.

All of Coding Temple’s courses have project-based curriculums. The number of projects you’ll need to complete throughout your Coding Temple course depends on the duration of the program. In addition to these course projects, there are many day-to-day assignments to test your knowledge and skills and prepare you for these projects.

For full-time courses, fifteen projects will be completed before you complete the course. These projects are generally given to students on Fridays. However, there are some weekend tasks, too!

For those opting for a part-time course, there will only be a total of twelve projects to complete. These projects are given to students by instructors on Friday mornings.

For the self-paced software engineering and data analytics courses, the number of projects correlates with your course duration. If you opt for the 12-week all-access course, you’ll need to complete twelve projects. If you opt for the 24-week all-access course, you’ll need to complete fifteen projects.

Before we get into the in-depth sections of this review, let’s take a brief look at each of these courses and what they entail.

Software Engineering

At Coding Temple, there are three full-stack software developer courses to choose from: full-time, part-time, and self-paced. Despite the differing course durations, which I’ll discuss in the following section, these courses are focused on preparing applicants for this job sector with hands-on experience.

These Coding Temple courses will give you the necessary tools to build and deploy web applications and data analytics. Throughout the full-stack developer programs, coders will focus on HTML/CSS, Python, SQL, Flask, JavaScript, and React. From making websites to making Frontend UIs, the projects in these courses will help you hone your new skills.

Let’s review the durations of Coding Temple’s software engineering courses!

Coding Temple’s full-time full-stack developer course has a 10-week duration. Over these ten weeks, there is a Monday to Friday schedule from 09:00 to 17:00 CST (Central Standard Time). This full-time program is ideal if you want to start your new career as soon as possible.

The discounted upfront cost of the full-time software engineering program is $14,495, which includes a $1,000 deposit. To get the upfront price, you’ll need to pay your fees before the first day of class. It’s also possible to pay for this course over three installments, which totals $15,495 and includes a $1,000 deposit.

Coding Temple’s part-time full-stack developer course runs for 12 weeks. Unlike the full-time course, the part-time course has evening classes. Throughout the three-month course, there is a Monday to Thursday schedule from 17:00 to 21:00 CST (Central Standard Time). The part-time full-stack course is ideal for those who will be working part-time while completing the course.

The upfront cost of the part-time software engineering program is $10,495, which includes a $1,000 deposit. To get the upfront price, the fees are due before classes start. You can also pay in three installments throughout the course, which totals $11,495 and includes the $1,000 deposit.

Coding Temple’s self-paced full-stack developer course is ideal for those who want a flexible schedule while completing the coding bootcamp – without losing any of the benefits of the full-time and part-time full-stack courses. Those opting for the self-paced course can choose between 12 and 24 weeks of access.

Coding Temple offers 12- or 24-week access options when registering for self-paced courses. For the 12-week all-access option, the cost is $6,000. For the 24-week all-access option, the tuition cost is $7,500. Installment plans are not available for self-paced courses.

Data Analytics

Coding Temple’s data analytics course is available as full-time and self-paced modules. This course will give you the tools to uncover insights using data. Like the developer course, data analytics course uses hands-on experience with real-world data to prepare you for the job market.

The topics that are covered throughout this comprehensive data analytics bootcamp are Intro To Data, Excel, Statistics, SQL, Python, Shell Scripting, MongoDB, JSON, R, Miscellaneous Data, and finally, the Capstone Project. While this course overlaps with the full-stack developer course, it’s tailored to focus on data analytics.

Coding Temple’s full-time data analytics course is eight weeks duration. Over these eight weeks, there is a Monday to Friday-schedule from 09:00 to 17:00 CST (Central Standard Time). The discounted upfront cost of the full-time analytic program is $10,500, which includes a $1,000 deposit. You’ll need to pay your fees before the first day of class to get the upfront price. It’s also possible to pay for this course over three installments, which totals $11,000 and includes a $1,000 deposit.  Monthly/deferred options are also available, which total $11,500, and you’ll pay $229 per month.

Like the self-paced full-stack developer course, the self-paced  data analytics program can be completed in 12 or 24 weeks. Like the other courses, this course also offers 24/7 access to a community of individuals also completing the program.

Coding Temple offers 12- or 24-week access options when registering for self-paced courses. For the 12-week all-access option, the cost is $6,000. For the 24-week all-access option, the tuition cost is $7,500. Installment plans are not available for self-paced courses.

Blockchain

The blockchain developer course will help you understand Crypto, blockchain, and Web3 technology. The course will also teach you how to build decentralized applications.

Throughout the blockchain development programs, students will focus on Ethereum, Ganache, Solidity, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Web3.js, React, JavaScript, TypeScript, Redux, NPM, and Ethereum Blockchain.

You will build projects such as blockchain-based e-commerce stores and smart contract-based payment systems.

You can complete the self-paced blockchain developer program in 12 or 24 weeks and work on it in your own time. Coding Temple offers 12- or 24-week access options when registering for a self-paced blockchain developer course. For the 12-week all-access option, the cost is $2,000. For the 24-week all-access option, the tuition cost is $3000.

Application Process

Regardless of which course you choose, the application process is highly effective. Once you’ve submitted your online application, which only takes a few minutes to complete, you’ll receive an admissions call. While chatting with the Coding Temple admissions team, you’ll be able to discuss your career goals and find out more about the courses.

Following your admissions call, you’ll be asked to complete a basic skills assessment. This test is comprised of fifty questions expertly designed to test your cognitive skills. This assessment is completed to ensure you have what it takes to think like a programmer.

Finally, when you’re accepted for your course at Coding Temple, you’ll be asked to submit your deposit. Once your deposit is submitted, your seat in the next cohort will be booked. You’ll also instantly gain access to preparatory work, Coding Temple’s official Slack channel, and even one-on-one tutoring before classes start.

A truly fantastic aspect of Coding Temple is that it utilizes rolling start dates. Ultimately, this means you can enroll in a course whenever it suits you – and you won’t have to wait long to start honing your skills. Whenever you decide to apply for a course with Coding Temple, you’ll be given a choice between three upcoming starting dates.

As I’ve explained earlier, once you’ve booked your course, you’ll be supplied with preparatory work. A choice between starting dates allows you to choose a date that will allow you to complete your preparatory work. This pre-work is mandatory for all Coding Temple students before they start their classes.

Financing Options

In the previous section, I outlined the upfront costs of Coding Temple’s software engineering and data analytics programs. For full-time and part-time courses, it’s also possible to pay in three installments. However, there are also other financing options to consider!

For all Coding Temple courses, students can apply for a deferred payment, whereby you only pay once you get a job. Coding Temple allows students to defer payments for up to six months after graduating. This financing option has few upfront costs, making it a great financing option.

Coding Template has partnered with leading partners, allowing applicants to borrow a loan with no interest for 18 months. This is another great financing option because it allows you to complete the course and find a job before paying back your tuition fees. This financing option is also available for full-time, part-time, and self-paced courses.

Coding Temple also allows for employer-sponsored financing. There are also discounts offered for paying your full tuition upfront with this financing option. Once again, this option is available for full-time, part-time, and self-paced courses.

This tuition-back guarantee is truly a testament to Coding Temple’s confidence in their student’s abilities after completing their chosen course. From Coding Temple’s employment statistics, it’s clear that very few students have needed to claim back their tuition fees.
